Nepal gets ICC T-20 International Status.

28th June, 2014 | By Kshiteez

Nepal, along with Netherlands, has been granted with the T-20 International Status, despite of their failure to qualify for the second round of the recent ICC T-20 World cup, held in Bangladesh.

Although both of these Associate nations couldn't succeed to the next round, they had played remarkably, with an outstanding performance, during that event, which might have been primarily considered by the ICC.

The status was granted by the International Cricket Council (ICC)'s Annual Board meeting, held in Melbourne, Australia, today.

“The ICC Board agreed to give T20I status to the Netherlands and Nepal, both of which qualified for the ICC World Twenty20 Bangladesh 2014," the ICC said in a statement.

With Nepal wining the status, we can now expect to have positive change and development in the field of Nepalese Cricket. Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) will now be furthermore assisted with finance and technology, by ICC.

Let's praise and hope for the betterment of our Cricket.
